Policies designed to improve air quality can improve public health, reduce healthcare costs, and contribute to a more equitable society. An understanding of the costs of air pollution is important to these public policy debates. How does long-term exposure to highway pollution affect mortality?  How have water transfers contributed to dust-related air pollutants? What are the costs to society? This webinar will feature Dr. Michael Anderson (UC Berkeley) and Dr. Eric Edwards (NC State), who will share their economics research on these questions, with applications to Los Angeles and the Imperial Valley, California, respectively.
